FOX6 Birmingham Beth Twitty Interview 09/20/06 TRANSCRIPT
MY FOX BIRMINGHAM

Beth Twitty is leaving to meet with a television station there this weekend.
Fox Exclusive Reporter Christie Del Amo spoke with Beth Twitty today. She joins us in studio with more about that conversation.
Christie:
Well Steve, Natalee's mother has been hoping that aruban authorities would ask Holland to take over her daughter's case. Now that they have, she wants to find out the tone of this newest investigative team. Twitty will spend two (2) days in Holland with a local television crew. She says investigators from Holland have indicated they'll send a Cold Case Squad to Aruba.
While she does not plan to meet with investigators during her trip to Holland, she hopes her presence there will show the lines of communication are open. Twitty says she's optimistic because of positive experiences she's had with Dutch authorities in the past.
Beth Twitty:
And I wish they could have had complete jurisdiction. What they wanted was 100% jurisdiction. They were only there in a limited capacity and were already uncovering many things in a limited fashion, so if Aruba would let them have the complete file, there's no telling what they could uncover.
Christie:
And while she's still searching for answers in Natalee's disappearance Twitty says something positive has come out of all of this. She stays busy with a non profit organization she's formed, the Safe Travels Foundation meant to inform and educate the public on safety issues when travelling abroad.

First I've heard that Holland wanted 100% jurisdiction
of this case. Nice twist of reality by Miss Beth.
It's been reported that The Netherlands' agreement
to go to Arubawas conditional on their having complete
control and jurisdiction over the case while the cold case
team is there.
That's a far cry from Beth's comment that implies
The Netherlands wanted jurisdiction from the beginning.
Yet another distortion in an attempt to villify the aruban
authorities I'd say.

She really thinks her presence there will influence anyone? That's just an excuse to write the trip off as a business expense.

Please .. as if the Dutch will share anything of importance with that bitch.
And I have to wonder if she'll be harassing Joran or if she's using this trip as some sort of intimidation. Loathsome creature that she is, it wouldn't surprise me if That's the reason she's going.

Notice Del Amo states Twitty isn't planning to meet with
the investigators; it seems her trip is to get some face
time on television. Rest assured she'll have an american
reporter and videographer with her.
Talk about full of her own self importance. Wonder who
will travel with her? The clip of her on the FOX6
was from the house in Birmingham. It would seem she's
still living with her beloved Jug in Mountain Brook.

I think we can bet on that. She does like to "visit" people and has no impulse control.

ty, Heli.
Argh.. surely the citizens of Birmingham must be scratching their heads at yet another excuse for her bad behavior -- "well, the Dutch WANTED complete control but they weren't allowed."
Sort of interesting she has no planned meetings with them. Wonder if they told her to get lost.

Bean, I don't think she can browbeat the Dutch government as she did the Arubans without consequences. I do wonder why she feels the need to have a media crew with her though. Unfortunately, I don't trust a single move she makes. She has some sort of agenda or ulterior motive.

If the investigators and the investigation is going to be going on in Aruba, why would she even need to go to Holland?
I don't see the Dutch allowing her to stalk Joran or anyone else while she is there. So what would possibly be the motivation for going or even alleging she is going?

Unless her claims of going to Holland are to get herself back into the spotlight at FOX, CNN, etc? Make the claim but never do it?

Dub and pause:
I cannot think of anything except intimidation. Or, she does have meetings scheduled or TV interviews and she is not telling anyone? Or, the business expense thing.
Her thing about showing the lines of communication are open... if that was the case, one would think that action would be in Aruba.
I cannot think of a single good reason.

If she thinks she's going to find out any privileged information from the Dutch investigation, she's sadly mistaken. They'll keep everything close to the vest. The Arubans, sadly, found their investigation compropmised by all the "leaks" she and the posse fed to MSM. The Dutch will have learned a lesson from this.

Thanks for the transcript Heli!! I snipped it down to the comments I found interesting.
Ok......she's going because of the "local television crew." NOT because of anything related to the investigation.
I'm sure the Dutch are understanding how "open" the lines of communication are when she's got a videographer behind her.
This is why I love transcripts so much, they boil everything down to one or two sentences.

Thanks so much Heli!
Great to have the transcript
I cant see any reason for her going to holland unless it is to try and manipulate them too.
On the other hand, if it was any other missing persons parent, i would not be so skeptical. I could understand wanting to talk to the officials who are now looking at the case if i was a parent.
However i dont see beth doing it.
hmm didt beth say she would not go to holland either? not even to take up joran's offer to answer her questions?

It also says "she wants to find out the tone of this newest investigation team".
What the hell does THAT mean?

Maybe she wants to convince the Dutch to give her that death certificate she seemed to want so much from the Arubans

No, you just ask an attorney to file a request at the courthouse. I am quite sure it will be denied because Natalee had no relationship with Aruba or the Netherlands (wasn't registered).

oh, so any and all requests for a death certificate would have to be done in the US as she was a US citizen and statutory requirements for issuing a death certificate would be determined by the US courts?

Her September Story....
second year running......
Was Natalee Drugged?
NEW YORK, Sept. 27, 2005
(snipped)
Twitty says she's going to Holland "to make sure that everyone realizes and still knows that the reward money is still out there. We have $1 million for a safe return, $250,000 for the whereabouts of Natalee. And we've had posters printed in Dutch that we will be distributing in Amsterdam."

Unless the prosecutor asks the courts to have Natalee declared dead for all legal purposes (to start a murder trial) and the US blindly accepts such a declaration from a Dutch court, indeed.
Unless there are big financial concequences (eg. life insurance / inheritance) I don't see a reason to get Natalee declared dead in a hurry.
