Plot to Kill Obama
Nathan Johnson made his initial appearance this morning in Denver court and waived the reading of the drug charges against him. He was ordered held on $10,000 bond.
Last night, KCNC-TV, Channel 4, reported that Johnson had told the Secret Service that the group planned to kill Obama during his acceptance speech at Invesco Field at Mile High Thursday night.
In an interview with the station, Johnson said:
"He don't belong in political office. Blacks don't belong in political office. He ought to be shot."

No one has to be pro-Obama to feel sickened when you read this. There are nasty and hateful people in this world who believe that murdering a presidential candidate is preferable to him being elect. How sick is this?

I am a liberal. Bush and Cheney have devestated America but wish them dead, no way.
Phantom, these guys had a plan in effect. They weren't just talking.

I guess you never read at HuffingtonPost or DailyKos or the DemocraticUnderground for you'd see the vile filth posted there. Posters saying after Tony Snows death, that he got what he deserved and they wish he rots in hell.
But you'd think if it was really credible the bond would be greater than $10,000.
No?

The feds are now apparently saying that they didn't pose a serious credible threat. Anyone who is staking out the convention center with rifles and wigs in their possession and believes that no black man should be president is a credible threat in my book. They may not have been successful but it sure is a threat.

I have posted another link and addressed the credible threat. A threat is a threat. A murder is a murder. I don't understand that it was not a credible threat when they were found with rifles and disguises. Maybe they are druggies and couldn't organize a trip to the bathroom but in my book it is a threat.
Yes, Phantom, I can believe the rhetoric on different message boards. I don't have time for any other board than RU, but I would condemn those vile statements. There is no place in civilized society for violence.
