Maverick
I never saw james Garner in the "Maverick" series, but I really enjoyed his TV series "The Rockford files". Since the RU website started by being about crime issues, I wonder what others here thought of it. It was about a Private Investigator's cases, and seemed to have a lot of larger real world issue based episodes.

Resigned posted a video clip of Garner in the 2008 election campaign forum.
"Politics:
Garner is a strong Democratic Party supporter, contributing over $7,500 to Democrats running for Federal office the past seven years, including Dennis Kucinich (for Congress in 2002),.....
Prior to the entry of ex-San Francisco Mayor (later U.S. Senator) Dianne Feinstein, there was an effort by Democratic party leaders, led by state Senator Herschel Rosenthal, to persuade James Garner to seek the 1990 Democratic nomination for Governor of California.[34]"

Am I getting old or what, I remember watching Rockford, and I know I liked it because I watched it. But why, or anything specific.... it was good entertainment.
I know that wasn't what you were looking for, but it's my cheap memory's 2 cents worth.

That was a great show. I like Jim Garner. I think that he is genuinely sincere person.

And a true Maverick! At least the old series was certainly about a Maverick!
