To your question as to how far I drove into the afore mentioned street, I can say the following, I think I drove about 55 yards into that street. Joran said that I could leave him there. After that I brought my car to a full stop. Joran got out first and then the girl. He said: Fine, I will see you tomorrow. I then asked him how he would get home. He said that he would find a way to get home. I said, and the girl. He answered, I will drop her off at the "Holiday Inn Hotel", we will walk along the beach and it is very close by. I had asked him, are you sure. He answered yes, I will see you tomorrow. I do remember that I saw them walking away hand in hand.

Cool

Sharma is lying again. Covering up something. Cool

These are stupid questions:

# how will you get home

and the girl

HI is in eyesight of where they are, not like they are on the other side of town Cool

" he answered we will walk the beach and the HI is close by"

Deepak knows this, he can see the hotel from where he is stopped Cool

He is over concerned for his "friend"

"he said I could [he gave me permission] to leave him there"

"how will you get home, are you sure"

Smells like a setup. Sharma is setting up Joran like he setup Croes.

Croes uncle is a polisman, Croes had some parking tickets to attend to, Croes is a snitch. Croes got his instructions from Dompig via his uncle to go and infiltrate Deepak and hover around and eaves drop. Opportunity struck and Croes offered to assist in the HI story because Dompig had shown him via his Uncle Deepaks full statement. The trick was for Deepak to say hey man, don't involve yourself in our affairs, when Croes offered up his lie. That was the idea for Sharma to reveal to Croes what they really did. But the sneaky Deepak instead of doing the honorable thing, roped Croes in and said sure man, help us lie. Just like he fingered the security guards.

Therefore Deepak asked whether Joran was sure about it and that's what both brothers obviously found strange.

They also found it strange that Joran's father was there all the time.

They talk like if they were not used to that behavior of Joran's father. Cool

What I noticed was, that each time that my brother Deepak and I were visiting with Joran, his father Paul was there or joined us
How did I know that Joran became nervous? I can state the following. Joran then looks around him tries to avoid eye contact. He also furthers opens his eyes to convince you. He also gave me the impression that he had to think hard about what he should say. I also noticed that he didn’t want to talk long about the events on the beach, but always about the Holiday Inn story.

Cool

Exactly. Not in the beginning but later.

Why would the investigators do that?

I don't know...in reading Deepak's statement what came to my mind was he was good to go with driving Joran and Natalee around until he realized that her friends had seen them. I mean it doesn't sound like he quickly asked Natalee if she wanted to get out and dropped it. Sounds like Joran finally had to say to keep going.

Deepak states "I knew at that moment that I had to drive to the "Lighthouse"." That's a really odd way of saying he went ahead and drove to the lighthouse. Maybe its the translation...but if not...it sounds like he really didn't want to do that but had to??

My last question is why when Joran had told Deepak over and over he would find his own way home would he then call Deepak and ask for a ride home?

By the way enfant...I have a bit of trouble figuring out who you are quoting...so sorry if this wasn't your quote...but I seem to remember Deepak most certainly did have a problem with Joran being in the back seat with Natalee. Seems like he was worried about his car getting messed up or something and Satish told him to just keep driving.

Hi liesbeth...your reply that "Probably because Deepak is not used to drop Joran of in a street. " would explain why Deepak asked Joran how he would get home...but my question was: If Joran answered he would find his own way home...why then did he call Deepak for a ride in the early morning?

Why wouldn't Joran have just said I'll call you later for a ride? I still don't understand how Deepak and Joran's friendship existed but I don't really need to. I can only judge by my own feeling...and if some "friend" told me to drop them off and they'd find their own way home and then called me at 2 or 3 in the morning...they had best better be in some kind of trouble for me to go out and pick them up.

Could be liesbeth...something obviously didn't work out if Deepak's statement is what was actually said. Would be nice to know wouldn't it? Whether Joran walked home, Deepak or Satish picked him up or whether as some believe...he was home and not at the beach already.

Well...I'm off to sleep. Have a good nite/morning.

On your question what Joran's mom meant by telling us that we should stay away from the "Marriot Hotel", I can say the following. With this she meant that the police were monitoring that area and that we were already in trouble. So avoid the area and that it was best to head home.

With wat reason would the investigators ask a question like that? Wink

The U. S. Drug Enforcement Agencyhas NEVER issued any statement on the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. Any claim to the contrary is false.

Blogrumor and hearsay of what one particular agent (who may or may not have even been who he claimed to be) said does not constitute a statement by the Agency.
