Hung again?
Note on a note
Could the note to the judge be anything but another deadlock? The jury instructions Fidler read at the start of deliberations tell them how to proceed if they have a legal or evidentiary inquiry: "You should continue your deliberations while you wait for my answer."

Two buzzes
The clerk comes out carrying a manila folder. She takes it into the judge's chambers. A moment later she tells the gallery, "We will be having a session at 1:30." In the meanwhile, she adds, the jury will not be deliberating.
This is remarkably similar to the circumstances leading up to last week's announcement of a hung jury. -- Harriet Ryan

I believe this jury continues to be hopelessly deadlocked.
It will be very interesting to hear from the jurors once they're
discharged from their duties.
I'll be anxious to see whether the 7-5 original deadlock will have changed.

In about 45 minutes from now, 1:30 CA time, we will know more.
The jury stopped deliberating.
The judge had told them before, that if they have a question, they can continue to deliberate.
They stopped deliberating.
Maybe, like last week the judge is giving the parties 2 hours to get to the courtroom.
Or maybe some of them want to kick one of the jurors of the panel.
Who knows.

I've seen all kinds of things with juries, especially California juries.
I do think this is the final 'deadlock' announcement.
But one just never knows ... oh the suspense

Kay just said to me that if they couldn't convict on those slanted instructions then the prosecutor should just give up lol
This was the only right thing imo no matter what side you were on after the instructions fiasco.

Well, that was no suprise at all. They should just let it end there as far as the criminal part. Let him receive his punishment through a civil trial. As his son said, "money is Phil's biggest concern". He will find a large monetary judgement to be intolerable.

Maybe when they all think of going through the trial again though, they might look at it differently. I don't think that they will be able to convict him of 2nd degree murder; so is it prudent to try to convict him of manslaughter? I really don't see them spending the money again.

Huh? He released the jury and 3 of them just spoke to reporters.
It was mayhem; media shouting questions and one juror monopolizing
the answers. THe tall young fellow must have been the Foreman b/c he
certainly seemed to be able to take control of the media that was cutting
him off.
It wasn't real helpful and it's too bad they hadn't made provisions as
was done in the Scott Peterson case. Proper microphones and an orderly
Q & A. I got the feeling the foreman voted Not Guilty from his answers.

From the LA times, the first reports. They also have a couple of juror quotes:

Fidler did everything but sit with the prosecutors. He didn't just have his thumb on the scales, he had both feet as well. He did everything he could to help 'get' Spector as long as he thought it wouldn't result in a reversal - or disciplinary hearings.
