Actually, ViVi wants to start yet another NH board in Heated Discussion and is running a poll there now about starting another NH board.

well ppl dont have to post in the "normal" board if they dont want fighting. Just post in here. Its a no fighting forum.
If they like the reg thing, it hasnt changed.

debate and discussion could be engaged in
without the goons and potty mouths trashing
those they disagreed with.
Pitting people against each other in this
way, in separate "rooms" only serves to
poison any fruitful and collegial debate
that might otherwise occur between

No one is "pitted against" each other, just ppl who want to discuss with some moderation can do so in this forum. The majority of ppl who like it as it has been can continue to discuss on the main board.
Nothing has really changed. Some people prefer not to post on the main board, they feel more comfortable with a moderated forum. So we offered one. The main board can have lots of joking around and banter, as well as arguing, which is fine. By having a moderated forum those who prefer keeping their posts on topic and without extraneous things, can do so.
If you dont like the idea of the moderated forum, the best thing is not to read it, or post on it. I know many have asked for a moderated place to post that lets them still enjoy refs while not feeling they will be attacked for their views.

Isnt this forum set up for no poster bashing and 'serious' discussion or am I in the wrong one? This post above really to me doesn't seem to be needed in a 'serious' NH discussion now does it?
