A friend sent me the link, very upset. I figured if I brought it here there are so many intelligent thinkers that either you would tell me it was a joke or you would tell me if it was true. If it was a joke we probably wouldn't laugh but if it was true, I think the reufugees would take action.

I hear there's such a plant in the works but at this point it's still in the animal testing phase - making sure that it's non-toxic I presume.

The decision to be a vegetarian/vegan etc is a personal one. No one is "scum" for based on it.
Please, on this issue, respect the fact that there are different views, or in fact same views and different actions.. Until you walk in the shoes etc..
I have great respect for RD and Joy and other vegetarians. In no way do i think that people like me are scum.
