Rita:
Police call in some unusual experts to search for Natalee.
Increasing efforts in the search, a new team of Dutch experts are scouring the dunes and a Dutch TV crew is preparing a show to air on April 11. There's also a video being discussed showing Paul talking to Natalee at the casino the night she disappeared.
Is there a possiblity that Paul was talking to Natalee on the night she disappeared?
John Kelly:
If you look at that video, he seems to be the one sitting beside her and engaging her in conversation. From what we know, his son was accessing his line of credit, if he had not been in there underage and allowed to use his father's line of credit ....
He's just claimed all along that he kept his eye on his son, kept him on a short leash, but we see him in this video, he's in a casino under age...

Did Paul ever say he talked to Natalee?
John:
It's never been addressed before that it was Paul sitting beside her
Rita:
there was supposed to be a decision today on the matter of Paul van der Sloot's civil suit; what happened there?
John:
The judge was waiting for Karin Janssen to advsie whether she was continuing the prosecution, she asked for a delay, for more time since there are new leads coming in that needs to be investigated.
Rita:
The Dutch TV program will be recreating the events. Have they contacted the family at all, how does the family feel about this re-creation?
John:
They contacted me, I workd fairly closely with Karin on it, I was well aware of it, we're more than happy to co-operate with it I have my own thoughts about the likelihood of its success. If they're actively pursing leads and searches, then it's a good thing.
Rita:
I understand some interesting and different types of ppl have been coming into case to assist.
John:
They have the ground penetrating sonar, 8 individuals from NFI including an archeologist and a forensic pathologist, taking a survey of the land, vegetation and things that have changed in 10 months based on surveillance photos. The forensic pathologist is there in case Natalee would be located.
Rita:
Any progress at all that you know of?
John:
Nothing unusual, they've been searching the dunes and will be completed by Tuesday or Wednesday. They're searching and if nothing else will eliminate the area as a possible location of Natalee.
Rita:
Let's bring in Steve Cohen. John thinks the dunes will be finished by Tuesday or Wednesday. What after that?
Steve:
John has stated clearly, that it took awhile to put togheter the search but it's going now. There are ancillary sites on the island they will look at, I'm returning from a week there myself where I observed. I think something that's important is the spirit of co-operation of the family and John Kelly and the prosecution and Dompig.. It's unprecedented in this case, the gov't appreciates the co-operation.
Rita:
DO you think they'll find anything?
Steve:
I'm not going to characterize my feelings, it's been very difficult, we have to wait and see
Rita:
You've heard this claim that in the casino Paul is talking with Natalee, that was asked of him before I think, what do you know about that?
Steve:
Unfortunately, I've not seen that tape, I've been in transit, once I get a look at it I'll coment. It wouldn't be appropriate for me to say anything without having seen the tape

It's really a coincidence that BFN has been talking about it being Paulus on the casino video for days and now JQK is talking about it as well. I hope this is put to rest soon. If not we'll be hearing about this on every show out there.

I'm outraged by Rita and JQK engaging in this slanderous speculation and have already fired off an email to Rita and will get to JQK next. That is NOT Paul in the video with Natalee. I find it very interesting that there was renewed activity on the refugee thread about this today. This shows there are "talking points" of the day, among other things.

How completely ignorant can Rita Cosby be? If that was Paulus, Beth would have shrieked it across the airwaves.
Anyone know the truth about the JQK/Jannsen work arrangement? IMO, JQK has no right to the same information JoeT is receiving. Why would JK be working closely with JQK, when the Aruba attorneys have not had access to the same documents?
JoeT will stand alone against the HMI Army, and kick their asses.

VC, I thought Steve Cohen's wording was curious. I believe he's simply referring to Paul's civil suit, the request by the Judge for the Prosecution to provide her dossier to the Judge as well as her intentions with regard to bringing a prosecution or not.
Of course Twitty/Holloway and their civil suit attorney, John Q Kelly have a vested interest in the outcome of the Judge's decision in this regard. Steve Cohen seemed to be referring to the somewhat complex dynamics between all these parties at this juncture.
The manner in which the Judge rules will affect everyone in somewhat of a domino effect, not the least of which will be the civil case which may or may not proceed in New York.
That's my take on what Steve was referring to anyway.

Wasn't Rita the moron (in her race to be the first with breaking news) who wrongly reported that all the Sago miners were alive? On live tv, without getting any confirmation.
Excellent journalism there Rita, keep it up! And who needs a court system when we have her biased ass to instantly judge, convict, sentence and hang suspects in crimes where the victim is a woman.

Does Rita make up her own questions, or are they scripted for her? Then, the barage of e-mails needs to go to the damn producers or OWNERS of the station. Why would she ask and then revisit such dumb questions about Paulus sitting at the table next to Natalee if it has already been shown NOT to be him? Do they do ANY research before going on air, or has it not really been proven? Sheesh.

Wouldn't it be great if they unearthed ancient artifacts of an ancient race of people, previously unknown to have inhabited Aruba? Or the skeletal remains of a wrecked ancient pirate ship, carrying untold treasure.

She's an idiot in the same class as Kimberly Lip Gloss.Nothing more than tabloid trash. How many times has she promoed her show with "Breaking news in Aruba,may break the case wide open"?
I'll never forget the night she had Jaime Skeeters on with his phony tapes claiming he couldn't reveal anything until after the Dr Full of it show. She never even asked him a followup question.

Someone posted on another site that Natalee is buried in the grave or tomb of an Aruban who died shortly before she went missing. Would her family and JQK be crazy and disrespectful enough to demand peoples graves be dug up just to leave no stone unturned?!
I hope Aruba does discover valuable treasures during their searches. It would be another reason to visit there

I mean, is he supposed to be working so closely with KJ and the police and the family...all the little peas in the pod together....I wonder if maybe they didn't bring the civil suit in New york to tie up the suspect's attorney with that and not have him thinking about what is going on in aruba...i wonder who is watching the aruban pot while it is being stirred by smuggy?
