Well, actually that sounds like something Deepak could have heard on TV. You really think Paul said "you're out of your jurisdiction"? Sounds contrived.
Also, it's possible the DEA guy said he was a federal agent and Paul, Deepak and/or Joran made some assumptions. With ALE right there with them, I don't know that I really believe that they allowed Beth's friends to storm the place claiming to be "FBI." Dont you think? |
Actually "you are out of your jurisdiction" is exactly what I would expect an attorney to say. Far more likely than deepak heard it on tv.
Especially if said attorney is confronted by some alabama yahoos who are making accusations.

Sounds to me like a perfectly logical lawyerly statement to make when supposed FBI agents start calling your son and his friend assholes. Would it have been less contrived if Paul responded "no you are! nanny nanny boo boo"?
As far as ALE stopping Beth and co. from storming the house claiming to be FBI agents, they haven't been able to stop her from doing anything else she's been determined to do She's all for the ends justifying the means.

i am a little confused by this thread right now. it seems that in all the other threads with these "statements" a lot of people are questioning whether or not they are authentic, but in this thread it seems that most people have accepted it as authentic. why isn't this statement's authenticity being questioned like the others?

In the DK statement, it spells that out clearly as well:

I know they did. They made it up on the way home- after they got the call from Joran's father telling him about the Ugly Americans at his home. Think about it- 17 yo kid- busted sneaking out- angry Americans-mad as the dickens girlfriend. Within days the "lie" fell apart. I do not believe these 3 boys had the capacity to commit the perfect crime, and thwart the FBI,ALE, parents, friends, Dutch Marines, f16s, TES, etc etc etc.

btw to the other poster. I do think they are authentic. I think they prove what twit lied about as well over and over. I also think that they explain exactly what we have all opined was said, or knew was said (if you believe jorans interview on greta and i do).
Its clear they arent saints, but i dont expect any teen to be a saint. Unlike beth who does.

I noticed that too, he spoke of her in the present tense, as in he thought maybe she was at his home, or her parents about something that happened the night before.
