HELP........
I found a little puppy...
she's sweet as she can be....
But she is quickly ruining my carpet
cause all she does is pee!
Ive house trained many dogs, but have never come across one like this. She will go out...do her business, then come back inside and squat again. She has never messed in the house, as I can tell when she needs to go out, so catch her ahead of time. But she will be walking across the room and just stop and squat. No circling to find a spot etc. And she wets so often. I mean 6 times in an hour.
I did take her to the vet for a "once over" when I found her, he gave her a clean bill of health, said she is about 12 weeks old. She got her first shots. She seems to be some type of shepherd mix, but of course, I can't say for sure.

You might take a urine sample by the Vet's office, just in case she has developed a few crystals in her urinary tract. That will make them have the urge to go almost constantly. That's the only thought I have and the Vet can tell in a couple of minutes. I feel for you, I had that happen with a cat once, no fun at all.

Woebegone, it is VERY unusual for a 12 weeks old German Shepherd/mix pup to urinate 6 times per hour! Usually, at that age, they can hold it for a couple of hours. It's always important though, that when the pup goes outside potty, that YOU go with her and watch until she is done. Take your time, let her do her business in time, do not interrupt her by talking or walking.
And as Hisss suggested, let a vet check her out especially for the urinating problem. She could have a bladder infection.
Could it be that your pup is urinating because she is too excited? Or out of submission? Here are some helpful links:

Thanks for the tips.
I will call the vet as soon as they open.
I knew (ok, couldnt be possitive, but was fairly sure) she has been abused because she would do the submissive rolling onto her back when you would speak to her, as well as the piddle when you first came into a room. She has all but stopped both of those behaviors.
The wetting she is doing now is random. No indications or patterns etc.
This morning I removed her from her crate, took her outside. As usual, she did her business. I praised and rewarded. Brought her back inside, and within 10 minutes, she has urinated again. She was walking through the kitchen, and just squatted. No one was exciting her, no loud noises...I mean just nothing that I can use to point to a trigger for the urination.

Woebegone, did you try to take her for a long morning walk? So that she has many opportunities to urinate (and finally be 'empty')?
The walks will also be good to relax her and bond with you.
Another thought: could you take her to an obedience class, a positive training method like the clicker training? To socialize her a bit more, to have fun, to bond? Do you have experienced dog trainers in your area?
