I adopted mine from a rescue group when they were about 4 months old and skeletal. They are now 6 months old and 50 pounds each.
They are Zoey and Peppers, 2 hound mutt mixes...they act like labs, LOL! They really do act just like labs...hyper, crazy, their faces look like they are laughing all the time and they need attentionnnnn.
We are pretty sure we know what mix they are exactly, too..they are sisters and we think (along with the rescuers and the vet too) that they are a small part Beagle and a large part Blue Tick and Walker hound. Peppers was so named because she has a lot more spots on her just like a Blue Tick and it looks like she's been peppered. Zoey was named after Elmo's friend on Sesame Street because my toddler said so.
These dogs are already as tall as my toddler, and they are SO great for kids...unbelievably lovable and trustworthy and protective.

We adopted a beautiful, small, pregnant kitty whose owners left her on the dock in Jacksonville and went to the Bahamas for a couple of months. Two weeks later she had difficulty in labor resulting in an emergency C-section ($1250.00). She died in surgery and they saved 2 out of 6 babies. Well, I immediately became mom to 2 teensy kittens - what a job that was - they ate every two hours. I kept them in a picnic basket and took them everywhere with me, even the hairdresser. A couple of years later they weighed 18-20 lbs. and after nine years are still my "babies!" Their pix are on one of the Animal threads.

He has a personality similar to reddog.  Kidding! He's definitely a "titty baby." Loves his mama. He is almost two and the biggest problem I have with him is that he is overprotective of me. He gets real aggressive with the boys if they raise their voice to me or anything. That can be a good thing but he actually can get quite mean with them. It does keep them in line though. 
I've always believed he is gay. The first thing he latched on to was an old leather purse of mine and he loves my bras. He has an uncanny way of getting them wrapped around his body. It is a strange thing to see him "wearing" a bra and dragging a purse through the house.
