We have caught on to how we are being played as patsies in this HUGE propaganda campaign.
So either WE have smartened up OR they have become desperate and are no longer being subtle. I think we have made their jobs a bit tougher. We aren't filing into lock step for them. That must be terribly frustating for them. Shall we pretend for them?
I have to consult my propaganda journal, but I am pretty sure we will now see them self implode. But first, the next step, they will now try to locate personal information, IP's, home addresses, employers, etc. I kid you not. They want folks to throw their hands up and say "it ain't worth it".

Pastaman, I don't think you're a weirdo, so that leaves the multiple nic/personality poster. Don't worry about marketing, they just try to get info from here so they can run and post it on other boards.

I am a mother of two, been a single mother for 18 years, and have both a son and daughter 26 and 22. One grandchild 15 months with some health issues that we can deal with, with time. Show me ONE "accomplishment" in that personal bio that was given as an example- of what the poster is looking for. ONE. It is all personal information. How does any of that personal information conclude "Highly Accomplshed Posters!"? It doesn't.
It is a lame attempt at profiling.
Websleuths has a 24 page thread entitled "Who are you", and they made it a sticky, for heavens sake! (what does THAT tell you?) Unbelieveable what people will tell the world on the Internet.

Even those from newer money don't talk about it because as you say it is uncouth and lacks of class. They have it therefore there is no need to discuss it or flaunt it.

To make those symbols I use MS-Word and copy/paste them.
