I'm tacky
We are fortunate enough to get to do a bit of traveling. For many years I have signed guestbooks in tourist locations with the name D.B. Cooper. He was the infamous hijacker who parachuted from a plane over Washington and was never seen again.
Now I've begun signing the guestbooks Natalee Holloway.

I sign mine "Jug Twitty" and spill a little beer on the register for authenticity.

And, I've been saying for months now that I can just see this sad saga of Natalee reaching legend status just like D.B. Cooper!

Last time I swooned I ended up giving myself a concussion. If I feel that happening now, I just sit down in the floor.

Um you're joking right? Cause anytime I've brought this topic up in normal conversation I'm met with blank stares, 'huh?' or grunts of confusion and disinterest. I'm finding out what I've always suspected: Alabama is not the center of the universe and most people don't watch faux.

People here have no idea who natalee is. If I mention this case, they ask..."who is that?"
It has never once been printed in our local paper, and I think it MAY have been on our local news one time in the very beginning.

For some odd reason more people seem to remember Beth Twitty's name instead of Natalee's. Why do you suppose that is? Does anyone remember Elizabeth Smart's mother's name?

I'm more jealous of that dreadful graduation picture of yours. My smile wasn't nearly as artificial.

Oddly enough, Heli, salk/Marie used to have the same difficulty breaking away from this board when it was ostensibly time for her to go someplace.

I am so above Google. It rules the world already.
Yeah I do, but the DD is still not here. What is a "pip of a boyfriend"?
It wouldn't be smart for him to pick me up, as both of us will be drinking. I don't mind having my girlfriend drive us to avoid an accident.
We ALWAYS party late.

I agree. None of my friends follow this case. Some seem to have noticed Beth. More than one has remarked, "what's with that mother?"
However, I still think Natalee will attain legend status, a la D.B. Cooper. Perhaps limited to the internet world, but legend, nonetheless.

I believe Natalee Holloway, should she remain in hiding, will become the bonus question at Trivia Night in the types of bars Beth and Jug frequent.
