A healthy baby was born to Matthew McConaughey & Girlfr
Matthew McConaughey and longtime girlfriend Camila Alves have become proud parents! Alves gave birth to a 7 lb., 4oz. baby boy in Los Angeles Monday evening, OK! Magazine reports.
In a statement made to OK!, McConaughey stated "A healthy baby was born. ... "We are both tired and elated, and are so happy to have created the greatest miracle in the world -- having a child and making a family."
This is the first child for the happy couple.

Matthew McConaughey & Camila Alves Reveal Newborn Son's
LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Matthew McConaughey and girlfriend Camila Alves welcomed their baby earlier today, and now the couple is revealing the name of their son.
The couple has named their baby Levi Alves McConaughey, OK! Magazine was the first to report.
"Levi was another name for the apostle Matthew in The Bible. They were, in fact, two names for the same person," Matthew told the mag.
The evening birth of Levi was also significant to the actor.
"Our son was born at 6:22 PM, and this particular time represents my favorite verse in the book of Matthew in The Bible: 'If thy eye be single, thy whole body will be full of light,'" Matthew added.
Wanting to incorporate girlfriend Camila's name, the couple used Alves as his middle name, he told the mag.
The proud parents released the following statement thanking fans and well-wishers:
"We welcome Levi Alves McConaughey into this wonderful life and look forward to living in it with him. In the mean time and all times, just keep livin'."
