Doctor: Angelina Jolie gives birth to twins
PARIS - The Brangelina twins are here: Angelina Jolie has given birth to a girl and a boy.
The obstetrician who delivered the twins, Dr. Michel Sussmann, told The Associated Press that the actress, the babies and Jolie's partner, actor Brad Pitt, "are doing marvelously well."
Sussmann said Jolie gave birth to a boy, Knox Leon, and a girl, Vivienne Marcheline, by Cesarian section Saturday night.
He told the AP on Sunday morning that the boy weighed 5.03 pounds and the girl 5 pounds.
Pitt was there during the operation, said the doctor, who delivered the twins at the seaside Lenval hospital in Nice in southern France.
"Everything is going well," said Sussmann. "The mother, the babies, the father are doing marvelously well."
He said the Cesarian was moved forward from its originally planned date "for medical reasons" so that the babies could be born "in the best conditions." Sussman did not give details.
The doctor said Jolie is expected to stay in the hospital for a few more days

Why Angelina Jolie Named Her Twins Knox and Vivienne
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt "have proven once again that they are the leaders in original baby-naming, even by Hollywood standards," baby name expert Pamela Redmond Satran, coauthor of Cool Names and The Baby Name Bible, tells Usmagazine.com.
The actress, 33, gave birth to twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline at the Fondation Lenval hospital in Nice, France on Saturday.
"Vivienne is the French version of the ancient Latin name that means 'alive,'" Satran explains. A common English variation is Vivian, which was the name of Julia Roberts' character in Pretty Woman.
Except for Rosie O'Donnell's daughter Vivienne, the name "has not been on the fashion scope in the U.S.," Satran adds.
Jolie and Pitt's choice of Knox will boost its popularity among new moms, Satran predicts, "the same way they have with all their other children's names."
Knox -- Pitt's grandfather's middle name -- also "matches" big brothers Maddox and Pax as a name that ends in X, Satran points out.
As for middle names, Marcheline was the name of Jolie's mother, who died of cancer last year, while Leon is Jolie's great-great grandfather's name.
Satran gives Jolie and Pitt credit for their name choices.
"I applaud Brad and Angelina for being truly creative in a way that many other parents -- celebrities and the rest of us -- claim they want to be but aren't brave or individualistic enough to really achieve," she says.

No. Ugh. I don't like either one. When I hear Vivienne it makes me think of Vivian, and I automatically think of Ethel Mertz.
(A girl I used to work with named her daughter Christienne.....I do like that.)

I like the name Vivienne, I really do.
The way I pronounce it is I guess the European way, and it sounds very soothing.
The name Knox............................No.
My brother's son's name is: "Bink".
LOL, I never heard that name before or after, but when you meet Bink you'll know why his name is BINK.
Maybe the name Knox will suit the boy very well like Bink does.

My congratulations to the new parents and family! I am So happy for them all. I applaud them for being such wonderful parents what with every move they make being in the limelight, they do an awesome job! They obviously put family and marriage first. Lucky kids too, to have such great parents.

The first pictures of little Levi, born on July 7, 2008, to actor Matthew McConaughey and his girlfriend Camila Alves were reportedly sold to OK! for $3 million. According to the New York Post, McConaughey hired Todd Shemarya, who sold the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie $4 million Shiloh pictures, to broker the deal. According to TMZ, the deal includes Levi's first Christmas, additional newborn photos, and the first rights to the couple's wedding photos when (and if) they marry. They are just 3 weeks old, but twins Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline are about to take the world by storm.
In an exclusive interview and photos, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie offer PEOPLE an intimate look at their growing family.
"It is chaos, but we are managing it and having a wonderful time," Jolie tells PEOPLE of daily life at the Château Miraval in Provence, France, where the couple's four older children – Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 2 – have been enjoying a summer of outdoor play (hide-and-seek is a favorite) on the château's sprawling grounds.
Adds Pitt: "[It's] still a cuckoo's nest."
Fortunately, they already have some household helpers. "[Shiloh] and Z pick out [the twins'] clothes and help change and hold them," says Jolie. "It's sweet – they are little mommies."

So adorable!!!!

They Did It The Natural Way
Angelina Jolie is shooting down reports that she conceived her newborn twins via in vitro fertilization.
In a new interview with Hello magazine, the actress says:
"If they had been concieved through IVF, we would have been happy to discuss it. But we have been fortunate never to have had fertility problems."
Brad has super sperm, y'all!!!!!!
