O/T on BOR could someone tell me....
were they talking about sex crimes against children during colonial times and judges back in those days and the media?
Don't get me wrong.....as I do not advocate sex crimes against children......but am I wrong in that I believe that in those days wasn't it common for young people in the 15-16 probably even 14 years of age range to get married and start families?........
Seems that with the average lifespan being much less than it is today......and other factors (not BOR's).....things were quite different in those times.

I don't know either.....but it seemed from what I caught.....
like crimes like that didn't happen because religion was so important that people wouldn't dare do such.
Because there didn't seem to be any media reports on sex crimes against children in those days.
Sorry I was just hoping someone could fill me in.......of course BOR is a complete idiot......but I like knowing what crap he is trying to throw this time.....maybe he is a monkey. LOL
ETA....lol I typed  like I was at CTV

Yes, it's off-topic but interesting.
Kids back then were breeding at fourteen and fifteen (and the girls were often coupling up with men a decade or more older than they) they were also subjected to much more stringent discipline both within the family and within society in general.
It was a wierd time. Very religious or at least, very observant of religion, but society would hang you for being a pickpocket or stealing a horse.
Ironically, children are perhaps more sophisticated now and society has on the one hand become officially more "protective" of children that age and at the same time less disciplinary both within the home and the judicial system.
I'd like to know what kids aged 12 to 15 think of all of that.
