Dithers, I agree with you that negative thinking is not productive. However, realistic thinking is necessary about our involvement in Iraq. The American people do not pep rallies to bolster their positive thoughts about Iraq.
The issue is IMO very simple: how quickly can we bring our men and women home and out of harm's way. How quickly can we stop funding this endeavor and start spending money on American projects and Americans?
If there is a way that we can stabilize Iraq quickly, then let's stop pussyfooting around and do it. If we can't, let's recognize it, bring our troops home, and move on.
