Update on Max

Well the dog we adopted 3 weeks ago from our local shelter is doing great. I've brought him up to date on his vaccines, he came back heartworm negative and we've started on heartworm prevention and he got neutered yesterday. He's still calm and doing great around kids, adults and other dogs.

The vet told me today that she thinks he's a boxer mix or a rhodesian ridgeback mix, but she doesn't see American Staffordshire Terrier in him. She thinks he's closer to 5 years old than 3 1/2.

We took him and Noel camping over Memorial Day weekend and they did great. There was 3 yapping dogs camping next to us and ours just ignored them. The only time Max let out a bark is when somebody would pass by, probably on their way to the bathroom after we went to bed.

Noel is in her 4th week of beginning OB class and doing great. I don't know if it's age, Max or the OB training, but she's really calming down.

Those are wonderful news, GeorgiaMom! I'm thrilled for you!

Just recently I was thinking how Max is doing. Great name, btw! Max is a cutie and he seems to be a perfect mix. And a perfect match for your family. Please give him and Noel a big hug for me. And thanks for sharing those nice pictures of your fur kids!
